Within this crystal shard, blue energy swirls like a storm. Arcane crystals are roughly the size of a dagger’s pommel and emit a faint glow that casts dim light for 10’ around it. As an action, a magic user can absorb the magical energy from the crystal and recover either one 2nd level spell slot or two 1st level spell slots. If the crystal is thrown or dropped, each creature in a 15-foot sphere originating from the impact must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d6 psychic damage and is stunned until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't stunned. Once a creature absorbs the crystal’s magical energy, it loses its destructive energy, no longer glows, and becomes a mundane – though still valuable – crystal worth about 50 GP.
